Beverley has recorded a few vocals for a track used to promote
the launch of BBC
Radio 1Xtra, a new black music radio station launched
in the UK in August 2002. The track is called "Xtra
Dangerous" and is by the following artists: Skitz &
Agzilla ft Rodney P, Roots Manuva, Beverley Knight &
Gemma Fox. This has been uploaded to http://beverleyknight.no-ip.com/misc/
for everyone to download.

This week 'Who I Am' has dropped a few places to this
weeks #67, in the Official UK Album Chart. The album
has now been on the chart for 24 weeks!

As there has been a lack of BK news recentley, here's

Later this afternoon Beverley Knight will be playing
a live set at this year's V2002, today she's at Weston
Park, and tomorrow she'll be at Hyland Park, Chelmsford.
ITV2 will be showing coverage of the event from 8pm
on Sunday evening, so hopefully they'll be something
on Bev's performance. Keep your eyes peeled!

Tickets have almost sold out for both sites at V2002, where
Beverley Knight will be playing at the weekend! Only limited
tickets are now available for Hylands Park in Chelmsford. Organisers
say "We've got a limited number of weekend camping tickets
for Weston Park left and there are still some day tickets for
both sites so we'd advise everyone to get their tickets now
while they still can." So if you want to see Bev live get
your tickets online

it means signing up again, but it's well worth it.

It looks like Beverley Knight has already started writing material
for her next album, follow up to 'Who I Am'. Her management
have stated that she is very busy at the moment doing this,
and as yet, they do not know what the next single is going to
be, but I think we can all guess which one will be next ;)

: 04.08.02: BK @ Manchester Commonwealth Games
Beverley Knight has just performed 'Shoulda Woulda Coulda' live
at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
She wore a loose red top, short cropped black trousers and silver
boots. She looked great as usual, even though she was soaking
wet, due to the rain! The event also featured some performances
from Ms Dynamite, Will Young and Toploader.

#34 to #42 in this week's UK Official Album Chart.

The Mercury Music Prize is to be broadcast live on digital channel
BBC4. The winner of the £20,000 prize will be announced
on September 17th. Mercury Music Prize Live will also feature
coverage of the nominee's performances, which include David
Bowie, The Streets & My Dynanite.

Rumour has it, Beverley Knight will be releasing her fourth
single from 'Who I Am' on Monday 21st October. It hasn't been
confirmed what that track will be just yet, but the current
competition comes from Mad'House, Beth Orton and U2. According
to this site's poll the majority of you want 'Whatever's Clever'
to be the next release!!
